FEMME HEALTH Europe is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under the Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education programme (Project No. 2025-1-IE01-KA220-ADU-000355050). The Project aims to support women in midlife, menopause and beyond through education, digital learning opportunities and evidence-based lifestyle medicine approaches, while also supporting professionals working with these target groups.

The information and educational resources made available through the FEMME HEALTH Europe website are provided for general educational and informational purposes and are not intended to replace advice, diagnosis or treatment provided by qualified healthcare professionals. The FEMME HEALTH Europe website's general contact functionality is not intended for submitting medical records, diagnoses or other detailed health information. Where information concerning health or other special categories of personal data is collected as part of a specific FEMME HEALTH Europe project activity, such processing will be subject to the applicable requirements of the GDPR and the relevant participants will receive specific information about the processing before their data are collected.

1. Definitions

Service means the FEMME HEALTH Europe project website and its related publicly accessible functionalities.

FEMME HEALTH Europe is implemented by a consortium of five partner organisations:

The FEMME HEALTH Europe partners have established a Joint Controllership Agreement (JCA) pursuant to Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and a Privacy and Data Management Plan. The documents define the respective responsibilities of the project partners concerning the processing of Personal Data carried out within the framework of the Project.

For website-related processing, THE HIVE P.C. is responsible for the development and technical management of the FEMME HEALTH Europe project website.

Where Personal Data are collected through a specific FEMME HEALTH Europe project activity, such as a survey, interview, focus group or event, the organisation responsible for that activity may be responsible for the relevant processing. The FEMME HEALTH Europe Privacy and Data Management Plan provides that Personal Data collected during project implementation will generally be retained for the duration of the Project (30 months) and for a minimum period of two years following the final payment of the Project, where applicable.

Different retention periods may apply to specific website technologies, such as cookies or analytics data, depending on their purpose and configuration.

When Personal Data are no longer required, they will be securely deleted, anonymised or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable procedures.

Aggregated and anonymised information may be retained for longer periods for project evaluation, reporting, dissemination and accountability purposes, provided that individuals cannot be identified.

Personal Data may be processed by the organisations participating in FEMME HEALTH Europe and by authorised service providers supporting the implementation and operation of the Service.

The e-learning platform involves additional processing of Personal Data because users may register for an account and log in to access educational resources and learning activities.

Depending on the functionality of the platform, this may include registration information, login credentials, course enrolment, learning progress, assessment results and user feedback.

The processing of Personal Data within the e-learning platform is subject to a separate Privacy Notice.

The dedicated FEMME HEALTH Europe E-learning Platform Privacy Notice will provide users with information regarding the specific data collected, purposes and legal bases for processing, retention periods, recipients, security measures and users' data protection rights.

This Website Privacy Policy therefore applies to the public FEMME HEALTH Europe website and does not replace the dedicated Privacy Notice applicable to registered users of the e-learning platform.
